    Mini-Kits manufacture a number of Direct Digital Synthesizer ( DDS ) Kits that can be used for basic Radio & Signal Generator projects, right up to a High Performance Radio design. All the Kits & Parts that make up all the DDS Kits are available separately, so that you can purchase what you require to suit your own project.

    The AD9851 DDS Kits are more suitable for use as a basic Signal Generator, or as a VFO for a Radio project. The AD9954 HF-DDS Kit is more complex, & is suited to building a high performance Radio Receiver or Transceiver project.

AD9851 DDS VFO EXPERIMENTERS KIT

Direct Digital Synthesizer Experimenters Kit using an Analogue Devices 10 bit 180MHz AD9851 DDS chip, which is suitable as an accurate signal generator, or as a VFO for a RX or TX project. The various connections on the header allows the board to be used with many micro controller projects found on the WEB, including the new EME170 PIC Controller Kit using the dd_synth ver2.2 software.

The DDS output uses a 70MHz 5th order elliptic L.P.F. & Gali amplifier for +10dBm output. 

The PC Board uses plated through holes & a single analogue & digital ground plane & power supply.

There are a number of Kit options listed below including a Basic Kit that does not include any of the listed options, & Kits that include all the options & the DDS chip soldered to the board.

AD9851 I/Q DDS EXPERIMENTERS KIT

Direct Digital Synthesizer Experimenters Kit using an Analogue Devices 10 bit 180MHz AD9851 DDS chip, suitable as a simple VFO for many SDR Radio projects using switching Mixers, & produces two 90 degree phase shifted I/Q square wave outputs up to 30MHz. The various connections on the header allows the board to be used with many micro controller projects found on the WEB, including the new EME170 PIC Controller Kit using the dd_synth ver2.2 software.

The circuit uses both DAC outputs from the AD9851 DDS, & feeds one through the high speed comparator & a 70MHz 7th order elliptic low pass filter to a 74HC74D divide by two circuit.

The PC Board uses plated through holes & a single analogue & digital ground plane & power supply.

There are a number of Kit options listed below including a Basic Kit that does not include any of the listed options, & Kits that include all the options & the DDS chip soldered to the board.

AD9954 DDS EXPERIMENTERS KIT

Direct Digital Synthesizer Experimenters Kit using an Analogue Devices 14 bit 400MHz AD9954 DDS chip, which is suitable as an accurate signal generator, or as a VFO for a RX or TX project. A bi-directional translator chip is used to interface the DDS chip with the IDC header connector for 5v logic. The various connections on the header allows the board to be used with many micro controller projects found on the WEB, including the new EME150 PIC Controller Kit using the HF-DDS software.

The DDS output uses a 175MHz 7th order elliptic L.P.F. & Gali amplifier for +10dBm output. 

The PC Board uses plated through holes & separate analogue & digital ground planes& power supplies to reduce noise.

What the Basic Kit Includes: Everything shown in the pictures including connectors, but excluding the 100MHz CMOS clock module OSC1, & 175MHz L.P.F Kit that are both optional.
