EME101 Kit Description:

The 3.4GHz Multiplier is suitable for use with the EME79 / 154 Transmitter Kits for constructing an ATV transmitter for 3300MHz. The frequency range of the stripline filter is from 3310 - 3620MHz @ 3dB. The board could also be used as an amplifier, or filter for construction of 3400MHz equipment. The Multiplier is designed for a +3dBm 2mW input @ 1100MHz for a >10dBm 10mW output @ 3400MHz.

Kit Constructors Alert:

There are no reported issues with this Kit.

EME101 Product Tests:

The plots shows mainly the filter response of the EME101 Multiplier Kit using a 3.275 to 3.65GHz -5dBm input signal. The -3dB points were measured at 3.310 to 3.620GHz ( 310MHz Bandwidth ). Maximum output 3450MHz was measured at +16dBm saturated with a -4dBm input signal ( 20dB Gain ). For use as a Filter for a SSB Transverter the following measurements were made on the above for various Frequencies that would be Image frequencies. A I/F frequency at 144MHz and below would not be acceptable if the board was to be used to construct a Transverter, or receive converter.

  • EME101 Harmonic Output
    EME101 Harmonic Output Test with a 1.15GHz +3dBm input.
  • EME101 S21 Gain Test
EME101 output level with a 1.1 to 1.2GHz input. The ripple is due to the ERA3 Multiplier efficiency.
