TRANSVERTER & REPEATER KITS
The
complete High Performance Transverter is built on a 70x95mm double
sided plated through hole PCB, & uses a large number of SMD
components, Mini-Circuits Mixer, Amplifiers, & Helical Filters
to make the design compact & predictable in performance. The
Toko helical filters allow the Transverter to be tuned to cover
a 25MHz @ 1dB minimum bandwidth between 1250 & 1305MHz. The
Transverter has been updated with a low noise GasFET front end
for a low noise figure & higher RX gain. The basic Transverter
Kit comes complete with all onboard components & requires
a EME65 500MHz local Oscillator Kit, Crystal, & the EME66
Transverter Sequencer Kit for the RX/TX switching, & interface
of the transverter to a 144MHz transceiver. The Basic Transverter
Kit requires miscellaneous hardware & connectors to complete.
Please specify what crystal you require for the I/F frequency
coverage. The Standard Crystal in stock for this kit is a 96.000MHz
HY-Q TS07S 5ppm 50deg C.

REPEATER KIT
Please
Note: This Kit is used to build a 23cm Repeater & is for
advanced constructors that have the knowledge of constructing
& commissioning a Repeater station. This Kit is not used
for adding a 20MHz Repeater offset to allow the EME72 transverter
Kit to be used on FM Repeaters.
A
23cm Repeater Kit ( EME72B RPT ) is now available. It includes
all components & a second PC board to turn a standard 23cm
EME72B kit into separate RX & TX boards required to build
a Repeater. An I/F frequency of around 144 to 148MHz is only
available, as 430MHz cannot be used with these Kits. The local
oscillator is a fixed 1152MHz cannot be changed easily as the
Transverter uses a 1152MHz Helical filter. Two separate EME65
local oscillator kits along with crystals & 50deg C heaters
are required. Below are the components required to build a basic
23cm Repeater Kit. The requirement of experience in building
Repeaters is required to successfully build these Kits into
a workable Repeater. Suitable 2M or VHF highband Radios are
required along with Hardware including RF shielded boxes, connectors,
& cables etc

TRANSVERTER KIT
The
complete High Performance Transverter is suitable for Satellite
operation on 2401MHz, & SSB on 2403MHz. It is constructed
on a professionally etched 90x65mm Teflon PC Board, & uses
a number of SMD components, Mini-Circuits Mixer & Amplifiers,
& a 5 Section Hairpin Filter to make the design compact &
predictable in performance. The basic Transverter Kit comes complete
with all onboard components, & requires miscellaneous hardware,
connectors & box to complete.
The EME94
KIT1 is a Basic Kit only, & requires the option listed below
to construct a complete Transverter. The options depend on whether
you want it for 2.4GHz receive only, or as a complete Transverter.

- 600MHz LOCAL OSCILLATOR KITS 
This New
Kit is a redesign of the popular EME65 Butler Oscillator. Many
hours were spend with the help from Kevin ZL1UJG, & input
from others to evaluate the EME65 Kit to improve the performance,
& update the design. Improvements have been made to lower
the power supply & oscillator phase noise, including heatsinking
& insulating requirements to suit a temperature controlled
heater. Optional components can be fitted to allow for phase locking
the oscillator from a GPS PLL reference. The oscillator will provide
a stable +7dBm output in the 400 to 600MHz range suitable for
Transverters & RX Converters from the UHF to Microwave bands.
The complete
Kit includes a Plated through hole PC board, & all onboard
components except crystal, connectors etc. The Kit requires a
crystal, box & miscellaneous hardware to complete.
Standard
& High stability Series 5th Overtone Crystals are listed on
the Crystal Page of the Component Catalogue. Divide your
Output frequency by 6 for the required Crystal Frequency.

The EME177
Kit has been specifically designed to suit the New EME175 Oscillator
Kit. It could also possibly be used with the previous EME65 Kit
with modification. The Heater is also suitable for stabilizing
frequency drift in many other products, including Radio Transceivers
& Receivers.
This Kit
is suitable for portable Battery operation, & can be set for
a temperature between +30 @ +75 degrees C.
The complete
Kit includes a Plated through hole PC board, & all onboard
components.

TRANSVERTER
SEQUENCER
KIT
This
Sequencer has been designed to fully control a Transverter &
various other components like, antenna relays, power amplifiers,
& preamplifiers etc. High powered stations generally require
proper sequencing of the RX to TX, & TX to RX switching so
that preamplifiers & relay contacts are not damaged. The Sequencer
has 3 delayed TX output switching voltages & has the option
of being able to switch 28volt SMA relays. The Sequencer has the
option of either RF or voltage switching from a 28-144MHz Transceiver,
& can handle up to 3W max input. It is particularly suitable
for using with either a FT290R, or a IC202 that have voltage switching
on the antenna socket. Output power from the TX I/F can be adjusted
down to 0dBm ( 1mW ), with 3Watts input for driving a Transverters
mixer direct. The receive I/F signal path has adjustable level
to set the maximum gain required for the receive conversion &
transceiver used. Requires box & miscellaneous hardware to
complete.

OSCILLATOR MULTIPLIER KIT
The
Multiplier is suitable for use as an ATV multiplier to 2.4GHz,
or local oscillator for transverter or receive converters. The
multiplier can be used as either a 2X, 3X, or 4X multiplier for
output within the 1850 to 2256MHz bandwidth of its 1/2 wave band
pass filters. The
Multiplier uses 2 x ERA Amplifiers to produce up to +8dBm output.
The 1/2
Wave Tuned filter design of the EME139 is larger compared to
other designs using trimmer capacitors & tuned PC board
lines, but it requires no tuning & guarantees a clean local
oscillator output with no test equipment required.
The
single filter & Spur output is acceptable for most local
oscillator applications for use with transverters & Receive
Converters. For increased filtering for transmitter use EME139
KIT3 which includes an extra PCB as a second filter, & connect
the two boards together back to back.
The
EME65, 500MHz oscillator is suitable for driving the Multiplier.
The complete Kit includes the PC board, & all onboard components,
& 9 volt regulator. The Kit requires miscellaneous hardware, (
Tinplate strip, SMA connectors ) to complete.

WEATHER SATELLITE

The
Receiver has been designed essentially for those that want to
experiment with 137MHz Receiver design. The Receiver is
suitable for reception of the NOAA & Meteor APT Satellites
on the 135 to 141MHz band. The receiver is designed around
the Motorola MC13135P double conversion superhet receiver IC.
The receiver uses a preamplifier for increased sensitivity &
a bandpass filter to effectively reject overload from pagers on
150MHz. The receiver has manual tuning & Automatic Frequency
Control for frequency stability, & to track the doppler shift
of the Satellite. A squelch & S meter circuit are incorporated
in the design. The circuit board has been designed for easy
connection of an PLL Synthesizer for tuning, & a wideband
FM IF demodulator for WEFAX reception on 1691MHz with an external
Down converter The basic EME117 KIT includes the PC Board,
all onboard components, & requires miscellaneous hardware,
box, Speaker, & connectors etc to complete.

This
Kit has superior performance to Scanning Receivers, & most
other Weathersat RX designs due to using a narrow 30kHz I/F Filter,
& being able to track the Satellites doppler shift using automatic
frequency control, ( AFC ). The Receiver uses a low noise 137MHz
front end, & a 4MHz BW bandpass filter, to combat 150MHz pager
& 144-148MHz Amateur Band transmissions.
Only
one 100kohm 25 turn trimpot is supplied in the Kit to suit one
Weather Satellite frequency. There are up to 5 Satellites that
use different frequencies, so this would require 4 extra trimpots
if you wanted to have them all pre tuned.
PLEASE
NOTE: Mini-Kits is not able to supply 1691MHz Down converters
