6M RX PREAMPLIFIER KIT

This low cost Receive Only Preamplifier has been designed to be easy to construct & can be centre frequency tuned for use between 45 & 65MHz, & is suitable for the 50-54MHz Amateur band. This Preamplifier has the option of being powered via the coaxial cable, & is very suitable for retrofitting inside older transceivers to improve the weak signal gain. A low cost BF998 MesFET has been used as it has very good characteristics on the VHF to UHF bands. The BF988 was specifically designed for television tuners & has a low <1dB NF @ 800MHz, along with high cross modulation performance.

23CM RX PREAMPLIFIER KIT

The EME179 Preamplifier Kit is a redesign of the popular EME103 Kit that uses current semiconductor technology & a ceramic based PC board to improve the performance. This Kit is for advanced constructors due to the very small SMD components which have been used. The preamplifier is suitable for FM & SSB applications including Satellite & ATV reception. The pre amp is essentially broadband, & is a dual stage amplifier that uses a low noise NE3512S02 HJ Fet followed by a MGA82563 GaAs MMIC. The preamplifier incorporates integrated power supply decoupling so that power can be fed to the preamplifier via the coaxial cable.

6M PREAMPLIFIER KIT

The Preamplifier has been designed to be relatively easy to construct, & uses conventional components & only one SMD device. The pre amp can be centre frequency tuned from 40 to 60MHz, & is suitable for the 6M 50 - 54MHz Amateur band, & also suitable for low Band TV DX. The Pre amp uses a low cost BF998R MesFET, which has good strong signal handing characteristics. The design incorporates RF changeover Relays & power supply decoupling so that power can be fed via the coaxial cable. It is simple to tune, & does not have any instability problems due to the use of a wide band output matching circuit. The Basic EME157 Kits include, PC board & all on board components, requires box, connectors, & miscellaneous hardware to complete.

This amplifier is a simple broadband design which can be used as a gain block in a receiver or transmitter design, or as a simple preamplifier in the front of a scanning or television receiver to improve signals. A Gali-39 MMIC, ( Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuit ) is used as it has a low noise figure, medium gain, & good strong signal handling capabilities from DC to 7GHz. The Basic Kit includes PC board & all on board components, requires connectors, & miscellaneous hardware to complete.

GALI-84 WIDEBAND AMPLIFIER KIT

This driver amplifier is a simple broadband design which is suitable as a transmitters driver stage.  A Gali-84 MMIC, ( Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuit ) is used as it has > 21dB gain, & > +21dBm output power @ 1dB compression over the HF to 2GHz range.  The amplifier produces up to +21.5dBm @ 1.2GHz, & +20dBm @ 2.4GHz.  Only around 0dBm 1mW is required to drive the amplifier to full power.    The Kit includes PC board & all on board components, requires connectors, & miscellaneous hardware to complete.

This amplifier is a simple broadband design which is suitable as a driver amplifier for complex RF waveforms, or as a low noise high dynamic range gain block in a receiver.

The EME181 Series RX bias tee Kits are suitable for powering the Mini-Kits RX Preamplifiers from 50MHz to 1.2GHz via a coaxial cable. All Kits have been optimised to cover each specific band, for the lowest loss & return loss. The board is fitted with PTC protection to safeguard against any short circuits on the RF/DC output.
