430MHz AM VIDEO TRANSMITTER KIT 

High level Amplitude Modulated video transmitter for the 70cm Amateur band, built on a 71x100mm PC board.  The design uses a sync stretcher & high level modulation to overcome the linearity requirements when transmitting TV signals, & produces up to 100mW, ( +20dBm ) output.  The kit only requires 2 coils to be wound, & uses printed tuned inductors on the PC board for the output amplifier stages so it is easy to tune up.  The complete Kit includes a professional plated PC board, & all onboard components, requires miscellaneous hardware & Crystal to complete.  For Audio add the Audio subcarrier Kit, Order No EME158

Use the Optional 252MXPR2537A Helical filter between the EME44 & a M57716 PA Kits to reduce the Double sideband AM Bandwidth. Tuning this filter to the USB of the AM signal will reduce interference to other users of the 70cm band, along with increasing the efficiency of the Power Amplifier. This filter or a suitable interdigital filter, will be required for transmitting on 426 or 444.250MHz in all parts of Australia as per the current regulations to reduce the lower sideband.

1250MHz FM VIDEO TRANSMITTER KIT 
The complete transmitter is built on a single PC board measuring 50x65mm.  The Transmitter uses some SMD construction & has an onboard Video Amplifier & Pre-emphasis, & uses an ERA MMIC as a buffer & amplifier to give up to +17dBm output.  The complete Kit includes PC board & all onboard components, requires miscellaneous hardware & box to complete. For Audio add the Audio subcarrier Kit, EME158 The transmitter incorporates circuitry to allow connection of an external PLL for frequency control.  The PLL Kit with its 40Hz Loop Filter Bandwidth is particularly suitable for FM ATV applications, & can easily be connected to the transmitter.  The transmitter can also be used freerunning as the VCO is stable enough to be used without a PLL.

WIDEBAND PHASE LOCKED LOOP KIT
This Kit is a simple 4 channel PLL that has been designed around the SP5055 PLL IC which is popular in Satellite & TV tuners.  The IC is a SMD type that has been mounted on the underside of the PC board & is able to work up to 2.8GHz. The Kit has been designed to be used with the EME79/154 Video Transmitter Kits, but can be used with other VCO designs. An ERA MMIC is used as an amplifier to give up to +11dBm output.  The complete Kit includes PC board & all onboard components, requires miscellaneous hardware & box to complete.

The software is preprogrammed into a PIC 12F629 Microcontroller that allows up to 4 fixed channels between 1150 & 1300MHz. The software allows for retuning of the 4 channels to any frequency in this range with the addition of a single externally connected momentary switch.

SP5055 PLL CONTROL BOARD KIT
This Kit is optional for the EME161A PLL Kit. The control kit can also be used with other products that use the SP5055 & TSA5055 PLL IC's. The Kit adds functionality to the basic EME161A PLL kit adding a EC12E rotary encoder for tuning control, memory channels, separate TX/RX VFO's, frequency offset, & band switching. The control board uses a PIC16F628 Microcontroller & 16x2 LCD display module, to set all functions including menu settings. The display multiplier can be set to use the PLL with RF multipliers for bands up to 24GHz. The complete Kit includes PC board & all onboard components, requires miscellaneous hardware & box to complete.

Two momentary pushbutton switches are used for VFO/Memory & Calibration Menu settings. Momentary Switches, & a 6 position rotary switch are required for all functions, these are not supplied in the basic Kit.

AUDIO / SUBCARRIER KIT 

The complete Audio/Subcarrier circuitry is built on a single PC board measuring 65x36mm.  The circuitry consists of Audio Pre-emphasis, Preamplifier, & a Subcarrier oscillator, & is suitable for either  microphone, or line input levels.  The circuitry is based on previous designs but now includes a 5.5MHz Band Pass Filter to effectively attenuate harmonics of 5.5MHz providing a cleaner transmitter output.  The oscillator is able to supply up to 4volts p-p output, & can be used on most ATV transmitters.  Optional Subcarrier Kits are now available.  The complete Kit includes PC board & all onboard components, requires miscellaneous hardware & box to complete.

2400MHz TRANSMITTER MODULES

Suitable for Transmitting of FM Television signals in the 2400MHz Band. The module is a very compact 28x24x9mm size which would be suitable for Hobby use with Model Cars, Planes, & Rockets. A 10mW version is available for Unlicensed Use Hobby. The Transmitter has 4 pre programmed channels in the 2400MHz frequency range, & uses a stable PLL for minimal temperature drift.  Audio is fixed at 5.5MHz, but could be changed to 6 or 6.5MHz with modification.   The Transmitter board does not seem to have standard PAL video Pre-emphasis components fitted, but the video waveform on an oscilloscope indicates that the Transmitter does have a form of video pre-emphasis. The video quality, & colour high frequency response on a monitor & oscilloscope is extremely good.

The Oscillator is a MAX2750EUA, PLL IC is a SP5655S , & the microprocessor is a 12C508A. The 2400TX/ATV uses a replacement 12F629 microprocessor

The TX module has a very small 1.25mm 4 pin header plug for connection of Power & Video.

Excellent for ATV use especially portable operation.  Just plug in Antenna, Power & Camera.

2.4GHz MULTIPLIER KIT
The Multiplier is suitable for use as an ATV multipler to 2.4GHz, or local oscillator for transverter or receive converters. The multiplier can be used as either a 2X, 3X, or 4X multiplier for output within the 1850 to 2256MHz bandwidth of its 1/2 wave bandpass filters.  The Multiplier uses 2 x ERA Amplifiers to produce up to +8dBm output.

The 1/2 Wave Tuned filter design of the EME139 is larger compared to other designs using trimmer capacitors & tuned PC board lines, but it requires no tuning & guarantees a clean local oscillator output with no test equipment required.

The single filter & Spur output is acceptable for most local oscillator applications for use with transverters & Receive Converters. For increased filtering for transmitter use EME139 KIT3 which includes an extra PCB as a second filter, & connect the two boards together back to back.

The EME65, 500MHz oscillator is suitable for driving the Multiplier. The complete Kit includes the PC board, & all onboard components. The Kit requires miscellaneous hardware to complete.

The complete Multiplier is built on a single PC board measuring 75 x 35mm.  The Multiplier is suitable for use with the EME79/154 Transmitter Kits for constructing an ATV transmitter for 3300MHz.  The frequency range of the stripline filter is from 3310 - 3620MHz @ 3dB.  The board could also be used as an amplifier, or filter for construction of 3400MHz equipment. The Multiplier is designed for a +3dBm 2mW input @ 1100MHz for a >10dBm 10mW output @ 3400MHz.  The complete Kit includes PC board & all onboard components, requires miscellaneous hardware, (Tinplate strip, SMA connectors) to complete. 

This Multiplier will allow you to use your EME154 Transmitter Kit with the UNIPLL2 Kit on 3300MHz, without the need for expensive prescaler ICs, & high frequency VCOs.

5/10GHz MULTIPLIER KIT
The complete Multiplier is built on a single PC board measuring 80x60mm.  The Multiplier is suitable for use with the EME79/154 Transmitter Kits for constructing an ATV transmitter for either 5 or 10GHz.  The Multiplier uses tuneable copper pipecap filters to allow it to be used on other frequecies from approximately 4.5 to 6GHz / 9 to 12GHz.  The Multiplier is designed for a +3dBm 2mW input @ 1200MHz for a > 3dBm output @ 10GHz.  The Kit uses all SMD construction & uses a ERA MMICS for easy construction.  The complete Kit includes a professional plated through hole PC board, & all onboard components, requires miscellaneous hardware, connectors & box to complete. 900-1300MHz FM AV RECEIVER 

Suitable for reception of FM Television signals in the 1200MHz Band, or for using as a I/F Receiver with a higher frequency downconverter.  The receiver uses a Comtech Satellite Tuner module with SMA socket that is very sensitive, & has a 27MHz Bandwidth. The Receiver has up to 4 pre programmed channels in the 900 to 1300MHz frequency range, & uses a stable PLL for minimal temperature drift.  Audio is fixed at 5.5MHz, but could be changed to 6 or 6.5MHz with replacement of the ceramic filters.  

A SL1461 Receiver IC is used in the tuner module, along with a SP5055 PLL .  PLL frequency control of the receiver is a replacemant 18 pin SMD PIC Microcontroller programmed & fitted by Mini-Kits. 

The receiver includes a small PCB with PAL de-emphasis circuit fitted by Mini-Kits.

Voltage can be fed into a tuner pin through to the SMA antenna socket to power an external preamplifier, or downconverter. 

Excellent for ATV use especially portable operation.  Just plug in power & AV cable, & select the channel.

C-BAND LNB DOWNCONVERTER

Suitable for C Band Analogue FM or Digital use, or ATV use on 3400MHz. Will work down to 3300MHz for a 1850MHz IF Output. Either make your own horn feed or use as is. A modified version with N type socket will be available soon.
