AD9850/51
DDS CONTROLLER KIT
This
Kit has primarily been designed as a PIC Micro controller &
interface for the New AD9851 DDS VFO & I/Q DDS Kits. The
Kit can be used as a general purpose Micro controller board
to suit your own DDS, or other Project using your own software.
The
board allows for interfacing of a 4x4 Keypad, LCD Display, &
various input & Output circuitry using onboard Headers.
The
Kit is designed to use a PIC16F648A, & most Pins are available
on the header connections around the outside of the board. Many
other PIC16F6XX series chips can also be used on this board.
What
the Basic Kit Includes: Includes
PC Board & all onboard electronic components including a blank PIC16F648A, & 16 Pin
IDC plug/socket & 25cm ribbon cable. The Basic EME170 KIT1
does not include the EME170/CONN Kit, Knob, LCD, or DDS Ver2 software listed below.

PIC
CONTROLLER KIT
This
Kit has primarily been designed as a PIC Micro controller &
interface for the New HF-DDS Kit, but can be used as a general
purpose Micro controller board using your own software.
The
board allows for interfacing of a 4x4 Keypad, LCD Display, &
various input & Output circuitry using onboard Headers.
The
Kit uses a powerful PIC18F4520, & most Pins are available
on connections around the outside of the chip .
The Microcontroller
can easily be programmed using the Microchip PICKIT2 programmer
connected to the IDC2 programming Header on the board.
What
the Basic Kit Includes: Includes
PC Board & all onboard electronic components, including a blank PIC18F4520 & 16 Pin
IDC plug/socket & 25cm ribbon cable. The Basic EME150 KIT1
does not include the EME150/CONN Kit, or RS232 Kits as listed

This
Kit is designed to expand the number of outputs from the PIC microcontroller
on the EME150 PIC Controller board. The board is an option that
can be used with the HF-DDS Kit, to control circuitry like band
& filter switching, mode selection, AGC, IPO, RX/TX switching,
& many other radio related functions. One board has 32 low
current logic outputs that can be used to control relay drivers
& logic circuits, & further boards can be connected together
to increase the outputs to a maximum of 96 using the HF-DDS software.

This Kit was
designed to make it easier to mount a rotary encoder onto the front
panel of a box, & for a wiring interface to a Keypad & LCD
Display module. It is currently used with the New HF-DDS Kit. The
Kit is also suitable for using with the Universal Wide band SP5055
PLL Kit. The Kit uses a low cost EC12E Rotary Encoder that requires
a tuning Knob that suits a 6mm diameter shaft that is not included
in the Kit.

The Power
Head is designed to be used in conjunction with the DDS VFO Kit & optional PIC16F648A SWP software, but can also be used with a Multimeter for simple RF Power
measurements. The Kit uses the AD8307 Logarithmic Amplifier that
allows RF measurement from DC to 500MHz. A PIC microprocessor is
used to convert the analogue DC volts to I2C data & clock, to
be read by the Sweep Generator Kit. All calibration data is stored
in the PIC processor.
