EME153 Description:

The EME153 is a high performance 2.4GHz FM Video Television transmitter has a tuning range of around 2300 to 2600MHz, and is ideal for ATV. The design has an onboard Video Amplifier and Pre-emphasis, and uses an ERA MMIC as a buffer amplifier to give up to +5dBm output. An optional Phase Locked Loop Kit and Audio Sub carrier Kits are also available to built a complete FM ATV transmitter. The Kit is easy to construct and align, and a surplus FM Analogue Satellite receiver and 2.4GHz downconverter can be used for viewing the signal.

Kit Constructors Alert:

1/ There is a fault with the EME153-Rev1 PC boards. A wire link is needed on the 50kohm Trim-pot between the wiper and the pad that goes to pin 2 of IC1. The fault is that the video deviation cannot be adjusted.

EME153-R1 Construction Notes:

The construction is quite straight forward and many of the components are easily fitted with tweezers. The Kit construction notes and overlay diagrams should be carefully followed when constructing.
