The PWRHEAD KIT1 & 2 are low cost RF detectors that can be used to read RF power & produce both an analogue DC, & I2C data & clock outputs. The Kits can be used for simple RF power measurements using a multimeter, or can be connected to the DDS VFO Kit using the optional SWEEP software. The PWRHEAD KIT1 uses the AD8307 & covers from DC to 500MHz, & the PWRHEAD KIT2 uses the LTC5508 & covers approximately 300MHz to 7GHz. All calibration data is stored in a PIC12F675 onboard microcontroller.

SWEEP DOCUMENTATION
The
first part is to discuss the specifications of the software so
that you can determine if the Sweep software is suitable for
your application.
The PIC Source code may be available for
those that may want to change things to suit their own application
We ask that any changes to the software be available to all other
Ham Radio operators through Mini-Kits for free.

CHANGES & MODIFICATIONS
1/ This applies to all Powerhead Kits. A substantial performance improvement can be made by shielding the complete powerhead in a metal box. This will block stray RF that will allow the powerhead to read low RF power levels.
