This Frequency Converter has been designed as a transmit up, and receive down converter, with a tunable 37MHz bandwidth frequency range between 1180 and 1700MHz. The receive converter uses a Mini-Circuits ADE-17H +17dBm mixer, and high IP3 second stage receive amplifier for good strong signal handling. A 1150MHz high pass filter is used to reject strong out of band signals below 1000MHz including mobile telephone and 430MHz signals. The converter is ideal for the 1240 to 1300MHz band as a building block, to construct a complete 23cm Transverter using a 144MHz I/F.
This converter requires a suitable +17dBm local oscillator input for operation. Please refer to the 23cm Transverter Block Diagram on how this Kit is used.

A local oscillator that includes the EME175 KIT1, EME1.2G-MLT-1 KIT, and suitable crystal is required for this Kit.
