The cost is very high to produce New Kits, so any requests for new Kits will be noted only. NEWS 11/1/12 The New HF Active Antenna Kits have been delays due to a costly error with the PC board layout. Kits are now not expected to be released until mid 2012, but a built product may be available in February 2012. The cost to do this Kit has been extremely high, & is the most complete product that we have ever produced. This Kit is also being aimed at the professional for use in antenna arrays. The current GALI Amplifier Kits are being updated with extra SMD capacitors as spare parts, & the GALI-39 KIT notes are being updated describing how it can be used as a wideband preamplifier on scanning or communications receivers.
NEWS 21/12/11 Mini-Kits has been working on a number of New Kits. These include new bias tee Kits suitable for HF & VHF, a high performance HF Active Antenna Kit, & replacement sequencer Kit. We have been asked many times in the past to produce a bias tee kit suitable for VHF & UHF transceivers that can handle at least 100 watts. Many transceivers do not have the option of feeding DC out of the antenna socket to power mast head preamplifiers. The VHF bias tee Kit is now available, & we hope to release a UHF version in 2012. The New HF Active Antenna Kits are expected to be released in February 2012, & will be available as a complete product including antennas & hardware. Tests on the HF Active antenna have been on going for many months to make it the best performing product of its type in the market. The active circuit will handle very strong signals, & produces very low inter modulation. This product is a must for anyone that does not have the room to install a good HF antenna high in the air, or for improving reception of low angle DX signals.
NEWS 4/7/11 Unfortunately once again postal costs are rising on the 4th of July 2011 due to increases from Australia Post, please refer to the ordering page for the new pricing. Last month we released the new 23cm Preamplifier Kit, EME179A23. This replaces the EME103 Kit which was at the end of it's life for design & has been sold in many forms for over 10 years. Soon a new 13cm preamplifier Kit EME179A13 will be available. In recent times is has become very difficult to source leaded NPO capacitors & quality resistors. NPO capacitors are known for their stability when used to construct oscillators, but are also required for the construction of low loss RF filters. Many capacitors now sold through electronic outlets are Y5P or X7X etc types that have considerable loss when used for RF. Prices of leaded components have also increased probably due to the lower demand & stock levels worldwide, but Mini-Kits is commited to stocking these products for our customers.
