AD9954 HF-DDS KIT

The complete HF DDS Kit uses a number of Kits to produce a high performance PIC Micro controller& DDS VFO that can be used to build a Radio Receiver or Transceiver. This Kit is considered to be advanced & is not for beginners.

The Software is what makes it all work, & it is based on the Yaesu FT817 Transceiver, & has many of the control functions that are used on this Transceiver. The PIC controller can be either controlled using a rotary encoder & 4x4 keypad, or by using Ham Radio Deluxe with CAT commands through the RS232 interface.

The Software can be configured for various Radio designs including, Zero I/F, conventional I/F or SDR applications.

The Micro controller can be interfaced to an external I/O expander board for switching of external circuitry normally associated with a Radio Transceiver including RX/TX power switching, I/F filters, VFO A/B, Modes, AGC etc.

What the Basic Kit Includes: Everything that is in the picture, but excludes the optional EME169 Kit, nuts & bolts Hardware, aluminium chassis, or DC Power socket.

AD9954 DDS EXPERIMENTERS KIT

Direct Digital Synthesizer Experimenters Kit using an Analogue Devices 14 bit 400MHz AD9954 DDS chip, which is suitable as an accurate signal generator, or as a VFO for a RX or TX project. A bi-directional translator chip is used to interface the DDS chip with the IDC header connector for 5v logic. The various connections on the header allows the board to be used with many micro controller projects found on the WEB, including the new EME150 PIC Controller Kit using the HF-DDS software.

The DDS output uses a 175MHz 7th order elliptic L.P.F. & Gali amplifier for +10dBm output. 

The PC Board uses plated through holes & separate analogue & digital ground planes& power supplies to reduce noise.

What the Basic Kit Includes: Everything shown in the pictures including connectors, but excluding the 100MHz CMOS clock module OSC1, & 175MHz L.P.F Kit that are both optional.

It is not recommended that you try & solder the chips yourself unless you are confident that you already have experience to do this. Mini-Kits will not replace any damaged chips or PC boards.

 

EME165 BASIC KIT

Please Note: that soldering of the AD9954 & Interface chips are not included in the Basic EME165 KIT1 price.

CONTROL BOARD3 KIT

This Kit was designed to make it easier to mount a rotary encoder onto the front panel of a box, & for a wiring interface to a Keypad & LCD Display module. It is currently used with all DDS & SWEEP Kits including the New HF-DDS Kit. The Kit is also suitable for using with the Universal Wide band SP5055 PLL Kit. The Kit uses a low cost EC12E Rotary Encoder that requires a tuning Knob that suits a 6mm diameter shaft that is not included in the Kit.
